This year’s big Stjernekamp winner is ready for Notodden. We have had countless inquiries from the public that they want to see Odd René Andersen at the Blues Festival this summer.

Then it is a pleasure to be able to announce that it is now clear that Andersen will perform the opening concert in Hovigs Hangar on Saturday 3 August. Andersen takes his super strong band with him and sets out on the road to share the victory with the public. We can all look forward to a concert filled with classic soul music, blues and top-class rock from Odd René Andersen in Notodden’s great room.

Through this year’s convincing participation in Stjernekamp, Odd René Andersen has become everyone’s property. Andersen is the owner of a completely unique voice, and is referred to as Norway’s best soul singer. He has a unique ability to communicate with and target the audience. Throughout the Stjernekamp season, he has shown Norway that he immerses himself in the melodies and makes them his own – regardless of the genre he sings.

Odd René is certainly no newcomer. He has been a solo artist since 1996, and since then has had countless radio hits. Andersen has also been a support artist for greats such as Tina Turner, Joe Cocker and John Hiatt. Odd René was also a specially selected chorister for Paul McCartney during the peace prize concert in Oslo Spektrum in 2001.

Odd René has his own ability to set exactly the mood he is looking to give the audience, and on this tour the aim is that everyone leaves the hall a little warmer than they were when they entered.
